 Luna’s Horror Story: A Girl’s Terrifying Search in a New York City Apartment

Luna lived with her parents in New York City.

She had an older sister named Anne, but a few years ago, Anne left her parents and moved into her boyfriend’s apartment. Anne liked living life on her own terms. When she turned 20, she left the family and started living with her boyfriend. In the beginning, Anne stayed in touch with the family, but slowly she stopped contacting them. It had been 5 years since Anne left, and for the past 2 years, there had been no contact at all.

Now the family was getting worried, so Luna decided that she would go and find Anne and bring her back. When Anne was leaving, she had given them an address but had also warned them not to come looking for her—she wanted to live her life her own way.

Luna was remembering all this while staring at the address. The place was quite far from her home, so Luna packed some of her things and promised her parents that she would bring Anne back. Then Luna took her car and left for that address to find Anne. Since Anne was an adult and had left on her own, the police didn’t offer much help in finding her.

Luna finally reached the address Anne had given. It was a beautiful building, and Anne used to live in one of its apartments—apartment number 405. When Luna got to the apartment, she discovered it was locked. She then went around asking people in the nearby apartments:

Hello, this used to be my sister Anne’s apartment. Can you tell me anything about her?

“No, no one lives here. This apartment is empty. You should talk to the apartment management.”

Luna thanked them and went to the building’s management office. There, she met a man named Mr. Clean.

Luna said, “Hello, my sister Anne used to live in apartment 405 with her boyfriend. Can you tell me anything about her?”

Mr. Clean replied, “Anne? Yeah, I remember. Anne and her boyfriend lived in that apartment about two years ago, but it’s been two years since they left. I don’t know where they are now. But yes… I do sometimes see Anne’s boyfriend around, in the building right across from here.”

Luna felt a spark of hope. She asked Mr. Clean for the boyfriend’s name. He told her, “His name is Tom. Everyone just calls him Tom.”

Now Luna had another issue—she needed a place to stay. She couldn’t just go back home empty-handed. So she asked Mr. Clean if he could rent her apartment 405 for a few days, since it had been empty for two years. Mr. Clean asked her to wait a bit, and after talking to the apartment owner, he gave Luna the apartment on rent for a few days.

As Luna Entered the Apartment, Scary Paranormal Activity Unfolded

Carrying her belongings, Luna stepped into her new apartment. As soon as she stepped inside, a sudden gust of wind brushed past her. She turned on the lights and found dust all around. She put her things down and started cleaning when suddenly she felt someone pass behind her. She turned around—but no one was there. She went back to cleaning, but then suddenly, someone started stroking her hair. Luna got scared and shouted:

“Who’s there? Who is it???”

Suddenly, the lights went off. Luna turned on her phone’s flashlight and saw a girl standing in the balcony. Luna started walking toward her, but as she got close, the girl jumped off the balcony. Luna panicked and ran to look down—but there was no one there. Luna couldn’t understand what was happening. She gathered herself and went to sleep.

The next morning, she woke up—it was 7 AM. She got ready, had breakfast, and went out to ask around about her sister Anne. She asked a few neighbors, but found nothing. Then she tapped on one of the doors, which was opened by an old lady. When Luna asked about Anne, the woman invited her inside. Her name was Maria.

Maria asked Luna, “Who are you to Anne?”

Luna replied, “I’m Luna, Anne’s younger sister.”

Maria became very happy and told Luna that Anne used to talk a lot about her. Luna was surprised and asked, “You knew Anne? Do you know where she is now?”

Maria’s face turned sad and she said, “Anne was a kind-hearted girl. She used to come to me often and talk about her family. She felt very guilty for leaving all of you. She seemed really disturbed. She had bruises all over her body. Her boyfriend used to beat her. We haven’t seen each other in two years. She had come to talk to me about something, but Tom showed up and took her away. I never saw her again after that.”

Luna got furious hearing this. She returned to her apartment and started crying and screaming. Eventually, she cried herself to sleep.

While she was asleep, she saw that same girl again, but she couldn’t see her face. The girl stood with her back turned. As Luna started walking toward her, the girl turned around—and her face was terrifying. Luna screamed in fear and fainted.

After a while, Luna woke up. She brushed her hair and started looking in the mirror, lovingly touching her face, stroking her hair. And then, all of a sudden, her eyes turned blood red with anger. She immediately left the house and went to sit in a café.

After a while, a guy approached her:

“Hey girl! Are you alone?”

Luna smiled and replied, “Yes, I’m all alone.”

The guy asked if he could sit with her, and Luna nodded. They started talking. But there was something off about Luna’s demeanor—she had come here to find her sister, but now she was flirting and playing along with this guy. The guy started touching Luna here and there, and she didn’t stop him. Instead, she said: 

Wanna come to my apartment?

The guy got excited and went with Luna. When they reached apartment 405, the guy hesitated for a moment, but then went in, seduced by Luna. Luna invited him to the bedroom. The guy headed there right away—but suddenly he froze, remembering something, and tried to run away. But Luna caught him and started beating him up.

Tom Faces a Terrifying Truth He Was Never Ready For

Terrified, the guy shouted, Who are you? What did I do to you?!

Luna suddenly started crying—loud, horrifying cries, not like a human but some other creature. The guy covered his ears, but the crying got so loud that his ears started bleeding.

Then suddenly, everything went quiet. And Luna spoke:

Tom… did you forget me?

The guy panicked and asked, “Who are you? Who ARE you?

Luna smiled and replied:

Who am I? I’m Anne—the one you destroyed. I’m back, Tom!

Hearing this, Tom begged, Anne, please forgive me… It all just happened in anger…

But Luna—possessed by Anne’s spirit—beat him up badly and said:

Forgive you? Never… that’s never going to happen. Now you’ll come with me!

Saying this, Anne’s spirit left Luna’s body and entered Tom’s.

She picked Luna up.

Luna didn’t understand what was happening.

Then Anne, now inside Tom’s body, explained:

“When I left home, everything was fine with Tom for the first year. But then, his true colors came out. He was involved with multiple girls without my knowledge. When I confronted him, he beat me. I tried to return home, but he wouldn’t let me. Then one day, I decided I would finally leave him. I went to tell Maria Aunty about it, but he followed me, dragged me back, and killed me right here in this apartment. On that night, he laid me to rest somewhere in the wilderness.

Anne started crying.

Luna was shocked and heartbroken.

She hugged Anne.

Before leaving, Anne said:

“Tell Mom and Dad… I’m sorry.”

And then she left.

Anne, now inside Tom, walked out to a busy road. A speeding car hit him—and Tom died.

Anne’s revenge was complete.

Luna went home in sadness and told her parents everything, crying as she spoke.

And Anne’s parents forgave her at last.
