A Boy Who Dreamed of Becoming a Doctor, Until a Horrifying Incident Changed Everything

 A capable boy who wanted to become a doctor, but something happened to him that changed his life.

Kai, a boy who was extremely intelligent and clever, was a medical student and aspired to become a doctor. All his attention was entirely on his studies. In Kai’s family were his mother, father, and younger brothers Alex and Jace. The family was living a very prosperous life. Like every day, Kai left for his medical college. Kai, being such a brilliant boy, was envied by some other students. That very morning, the teacher gave the students an assignment: all the students had to go to the hospital and talk to the patients and try to understand their illnesses.

Kai also reached a hospital with his group. All the students were talking to different patients. 

When Kai Met Ava – A Patient with a Dark Secret

Kai's eyes fell on a girl who was seriously ill and looked very weak. Kai went to her and tried to speak to her. At first, she refused to talk to Kai and told him to leave:

Go away from here, whoever you are, get out of here.

The doctors there warned Kai that this patient does not talk to anyone. Kai pleaded with the doctors there and started talking to the sick girl again.

Hi, my name is Kai. I want to help you. What happened to you? Please tell me.

On hearing his gentle tone and compassionate words, the girl glanced at Kai. Kai was shocked to see her dry lips, sunken eyes, a frozen face, and a body that seemed just a skeleton. She looked at him with a glimmer of hope and said:

Can you save me?

Kai, comforting her, said:

Yes, of course. If you tell me what happened, I will do my best to help you.

The girl was scared and trembling as she spoke to Kai:

My name is Ava, I am 19 years old.

Kai was stunned—this girl looked like a fifty‑year‑old woman, yet she was only nineteen. Kai said nothing and listened attentively to everything Ava said. She explained that she had been very beautiful and delicate. Her family included her parents and an older sister.

Kai asked in astonishment:

They were? Where are they now?

Ava whispered:

He destroyed all of them. They are no longer in this world.

Kai panicked and asked:

Who? And who killed your entire family?

Ava moved close to Kai’s ear and said:

The one who stands behind you… he destroyed everyone… and now he will not spare me either.

Kai quickly turned around but saw no one. Terrified, he rushed out of that room. The senior doctor called Kai into his room and asked:

What happened with Ava? She doesn’t talk to anyone, but today she spoke to you?

Kai narrated everything to the doctor. He asked about Ava’s family. The doctor replied:

A neighbor complained of a horrid smell coming from Ava’s home, so they called the police. When the police arrived, Ava’s parents and her sister were lying on the floor in extremely poor condition—they had been killed, and their bodies had been there for days, causing a foul stench. But Ava, who was physically unharmed, was found hiding in a corner. The police suspected Ava and noted that her mental state was unstable. So we admitted her to our hospital. She refuses to eat or drink, and whenever we feed her, she vomits.

The doctor requested Kai:

Would you please try talking to Ava again? Maybe you can help her.

Kai promised to return the next day and left.

As he passed Ava’s room, he saw her drawing a dreadful face on the wall—a face that looked like a demon.

Kai’s First Glimpse of the Demon

Feeling exhausted, Kai went home and lay down on his bed to sleep. Just as he closed his eyes, the same demon he had seen on the wall appeared before him. But the moment Kai opened his eyes, the demon vanished.

Kai felt a presence around him. Trying to calm himself, he went outside for a smoke. Looking around, he suddenly noticed a two glowing eyes peeking from behind a tree, staring at him. Those eyes were larger than a normal human’s eyes.

Kai mustered courage to walk toward them but stopped in fear, then rushed back inside, locked the door, and peered out the window. The creature stood outside his house—it had a horrifying face and was smiling at him before disappearing without a trace.

The next morning, Kai rushed to the hospital to see Ava. She lay on her bed. Kai tried talking to her, and Ava spoke softly about the demon:

I’ve become very weak. That demon will destroy me.

Kai asked:

Who is it?

Ava explained that she and her sister had gone sightseeing with their parents to an old dilapidated mansion. Ava entered that mansion, which was known to harbor demonic forces. She dismissed the warnings as superstition and began to call upon that demonic power. Since then, the demon followed her and destroyed her entire family—and now it will destroy her too.

Kai reassured her:

Nothing will happen to you. You will be okay.

Ava whispered into his ear:

That demon will not spare you either. You are next.

Terrified by her words, Kai listened as Ava advised:

You should go meet Professor Edward Graves. I couldn’t reach him, but maybe he can help you.

She gave him the professor’s address. Immediately, Kai left to find him.

As Kai was driving, suddenly a little girl appeared in front of his car. Kai slammed on the brakes and jumped out—but no one was there. Confused, he got back in his car and drove off. Suddenly he heard laughter from behind. When he turned around, he saw a terrifying girl sitting there, smiling at him. Frightened, Kai crashed his car.

One Month Later

A month later, Kai woke up in a psychiatric ward. After the accident, he opened his eyes in the same bed where Ava had been. He asked about her. 

The doctors told him:

Ava is no longer with us.

Suddenly, he saw the same demon that Ava had seen, standing before him. Kai realized he, too, would not survive. His condition became just like Ava’s—completely silent. He spoke to no one, stayed mute, and only painted that demon’s picture on the wall. He waited for death.

Professor Edward Graves — the paranormal investigator with power to confront all demonic forces — could not be reached by Ava nor Kai. The demonic entity blocked their path to him, preventing them from ever seeking his help.
